* Higher stability to beta-lactamase hydrolysis than first generation cephalosporins.
* Produces Clinical and bacteriological efficacy equivalent to that of amoxicillin/clavulanic acid in treatment of lower respiratory tract infections.
• Potent inhibitor of B-lactamase which enhance the activity of cefuroxime.
