Cefp-T 2.25

Cefp-T 2.25 Injection is a combination antibiotic injection containing Cefepime Hydrochloride equivalent to Cefepime 2 gm and Tazobactam Sodium equivalent to Tazobactam 0.25 gm. Cefepime is a cephalosporin antibiotic that works by interfering with bacterial cell-wall formation, while Tazobactam inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes and helps enhance the activity of cefepime.

Composition:
Each vial contains Cefepime 2 gm + Tazobactam 0.25 gm (as sterile).

Uses:
It is used for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections. Cefepime is used in infections such as pneumonia and urinary tract infections, while the exact use of the combination should be determined by the treating physician based on the infection and bacterial susceptibility.

For the Ortho Division, it may be used when an appropriate bacterial infection involving bone, joints, skin or soft tissues requires antibiotic treatment, as determined by the physician. The product should not be used for non-bacterial orthopedic pain or inflammation.

How to Use:
Cefp-T 2.25 Injection is intended for I.M./I.V. administration. It should be reconstituted with suitable sterile water for injection and administered by a qualified healthcare professional. Do not self-administer.

Dosage:
The dosage and duration depend on the type and severity of infection, patient's condition and kidney function. Use only as directed by the physician.

Precautions:
Inform the doctor about any previous allergy to cephalosporins, penicillins or other beta-lactam antibiotics. Patients with kidney problems may require dosage adjustment. Report severe allergic reactions, persistent diarrhea or other significant adverse effects to the doctor.
