Product overview
Cefp-T 2.25 Injection is a combination antibiotic injection containing Cefepime Hydrochloride equivalent to Cefepime 2 gm and Tazobactam Sodium equivalent to Tazobactam 0.25 gm. Cefepime works by interfering with bacterial cell-wall formation, while Tazobactam inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes that can reduce the activity of certain antibiotics.
Composition:
Each vial contains Cefepime 2 gm + Tazobactam 0.25 gm (as sterile).
Uses:
Cefp-T 2.25 Injection is used for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections. The exact infection and choice of antibiotic should be determined by the treating physician.
How to Use:
Cefp-T 2.25 Injection is intended for I.M./I.V. administration. The vial should be reconstituted with suitable sterile water for injection and administered by a qualified healthcare professional. It should not be self-administered.
Dosage:
The dosage and duration depend on the type and severity of infection, patient's condition, and kidney function. Use only as directed by the physician.
Precautions:
Inform the doctor about any previous allergy to cephalosporins, penicillins or other beta-lactam antibiotics. Tell the doctor about kidney or liver problems and other medicines being taken. Seek medical attention if severe allergic reactions or persistent side effects occur.
